One piece, two eyes and a wavy hem. A free Halloween pattern for beginners.
White DK cotton, a 3.5 mm hook, stuffing, two 6 mm safety eyes and a stitch marker.
Start with 6 single crochet in a magic ring, increase to 30 stitches, then work 8 plain rounds.
Fit the safety eyes between rounds 8 and 9, about five stitches apart. Check the face before the washers click on.
Work one round in the back loops only, decrease, stuff the ghost firmly and close the hole.
Crochet six scallops into the free front loops: single crochet, skip one, 5 double crochet, skip one, single crochet.
The full pattern gives every round, plus arms, a bow, a witch hat and mini and large sizes.
