A five-petal flower, a daisy, a rolled rose and a leaf.
The classic flat flower, and the best one to start with. About 5 to 6 cm across in worsted cotton.
Many narrow petals around a round yellow centre. Each petal is a short chain with stitches worked back down it.
A flat strip of scallops, rolled up and stitched at the base. It looks impressive and is simpler than it appears.
Worked down one side of a chain and back up the other. Add stems and you have a bouquet.
Sew them onto a hat, top a gift or make a bouquet. All four patterns are in the full guide.
