This policy explains what personal data AlixaCrochet (https://alixacrochet.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. The site is run by Alixa, United States, who is responsible for this data (the "controller"). Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@alixacrochet.com.
Data we collect
Reading the site. You can read every article without creating an account or giving us any personal information. Like every website, our hosting provider's servers record technical information when you visit (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time). These server logs are used to keep the site secure and working and are kept only for a limited time.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address is sent directly to our email provider, which stores it and sends the newsletter on our behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
Contacting us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message by email and use them only to reply. The website itself doesn't store form messages; they're kept in our mailbox (hosted by Hostinger) for as long as needed to handle your request.
Analytics, performance and advertising. These are optional and only active if they're switched on for the site. The cookie policy lists which services are currently in use. Where the law requires your consent, they don't load until you agree, and you can change your choice at any time on the privacy choices page, linked at the bottom of every page.
- Analytics (for example Google Analytics) measures which pages are visited, roughly from where, and on which kind of device.
- Performance measurement: if enabled, the site records anonymous page-speed measurements (Core Web Vitals) together with the kind of page (for example "article"). No cookies, IP addresses or page addresses are stored with them.

Advertising
When advertising is enabled, ads are provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's My Ad Center, or by declining personalized ads in our privacy choices.
- How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- If you decline advertising cookies, the site may show no ads or non-personalized ads, which still use cookies or similar technologies for frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting where the law allows.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request not to sell or share your personal information: ads on the site are then never personalized.

We do not sell your personal data for money.
Third parties
Data may be processed by service providers acting for us: our web host, our email/newsletter provider and, when enabled, analytics and advertising providers such as Google. Pinterest, Facebook and X receive information only when you choose to use their share buttons, which link to their sites.
Some of these providers may process data outside your country. Where required, they use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, contact contact@alixacrochet.com. We won't treat you differently for using them. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
